Can I book online?
Absolutely. Our online reservation system displays real time availability which means every single room available will be available via our online booking system. 

Can I hold a booking without a deposit or credit card?
We can hold a booking for a maximum of 48 hours without any form of guarantee. If your arrival date is within 48 hours of arrival or you are booking over a public holiday or public holiday weekend then we are unable to hold a room without a valid credit card.

When I make a reservation do you charge my credit card?
Normally no, however there are certain rates which do require full prepayment at the time of booking and this will be shown in the booking terms when you make your reservation. If your booking does not require prepayment the credit card is held for guarantee purposes only and will not be charged unless the guest does not arrive or cancels a room within the cancellation period. 

Check in & check out

What is your check in time?
Check in is from 2pm. If you wish to arrive before this time please let the hotel know. Please be aware that although we will always do our very best to accommodate your request we are unable to guarantee a room will be ready until 2pm. If, for any reason, you require the room to be ready before this time you must pre-register the room from the evening prior to guarantee it will be ready on arrival and this will incur an additional nights charge. 

What time is check out?
Check out is before 10am. If you wish to check out later it will be subject to availability on the day of departure and there will be an additional fee. What happens during check out? During check out we will ask you if you had any minibar within the past 24 hours, collect your room keys and charge you for any remaining monies owed. Please also see payment information below on how we handle payment by credit card versus payment by eftpos & debit card.

What happens during check in?
On check in we will require all guests to complete and sign a registration card, the information required is your home address, email, telephone number and car registration details. If you have provided any of this information during the booking process it will already be shown on the registration card. We may also request to see a form of identification and photocopy this for our records and these are accessed in the event that you lose your room key or in the event of an emergency. Unfortunately we are unable to provide access to any room for anyone who is not registered on check in. In addition to the registration card we will require payment or a bond for your accommodation. For further details please see payment below. Once the above formalities have been completed we will issue you with a key card that allows access to your room, the car park and the hotel entrance plus a special tag that is used to turn on the electricity when you enter the room. You will also receive a password to access free unlimited high speed Wi-Fi. 


What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept eftpos, debit cards, Visa, Mastercard, American Express & Diners cards. Please be aware there is a 3% surcharge for payment with American Express & Diners cards. 

What is a bond?
If you wish to pay for your hotel account by eftpos or a debit card a bond is required on arrival. This means you need to prepay for the total accommodation cost on arrival plus an additional $100 per room per day to cover any incidental charges like meals, minibar, parking etc. If during your stay your account exceeds the bond received on check in your will need to top up the account. On departure we will refund you any difference between the amount paid and your account balance (provided it is still in credit). Please allow an additional 10 minutes on departure as our team will need to check your minibar usage prior to issuing any refunds. If you would like to streamline this process we are more than happy to take a credit card pre-authorisation on check-in and you can pay by eftpos or debit card on departure. 


When can I cancel my booking without charge?
When you make a reservation each rate has different terms in respect to cancellation periods. Please ensure you check and understand this prior to making a booking as there are some rates that do not allow cancellations at all. If you are booking via this website most of the rates have cancellation deadline of 48 hours prior to arrival date. This means if you change your arrival date or cancel the booking entirely after 48 hours on the day prior to arrival you will be charged a cancellation fee equal to one nights accommodation. Also if you do not show up at the hotel on your scheduled arrival date you will be charged a cancellation fee equal to one nights accommodation. In the event that a cancellation fee has been charged, and the arrival date has not passed, the hotel is more than happy to try and resell your room for you. To do this please give us as much notice as possible and if we are able to resell the room the fee will be waived. 

All offers to try and resell the rooms will be processed in the order that the cancellations/amendments are received and the hotel makes no guarantee that we will be able to resell the room. Please note the above applies to reservations made direct with the hotel either by calling, emailing or on the hotel website. Bookings made through travel agents and other online booking sites have their own cancellation policies. There are some rates on this website that are non-refundable. At the time of booking your credit card will be charged for the full accommodation amount and this is non-refundable if you wish to change dates, cancel the booking or do not show up on the check in date. The terms of the booking, including the rate being non-refundable, are shown prior to you making a reservation. We also do not offer a resell option on these bookings. We recommend travel insurance is purchased to cover any cancellation fees due to an unexpected change in circumstances.

What age do I need to be to stay at Hotel on Devonport?
You must be 18 years or older to stay at Hotel on Devonport unless you are sharing a room with or are in an interconnecting room with a parent or legal guardian. 

Can I get Hotel on Devonport to organise flowers on my behalf?
We are more than happy to organise flowers, or any other special request, and have them delivered to the room prior to arrival. 

Hotel on Devonport offers complimentary high speed Wi-Fi and wired connection to the internet. 

Do you have a car park?
Yes, we have a secure undercover car park available exclusively for guest use. The cost is $10 per car per night and all spaces are subject to availability and must be pre-booked directly with the hotel. If you are making a reservation through the hotel's own website, there is an option to reserve a car park at the time of booking. 

Can I have friends over for a party or get together?
While we love a good party unfortunately, for the comfort of all our guests, we do not allow any parties or get togethers in our accommodation rooms.

We have gift vouchers available for all our room types and to purchase simply call our front desk team who will be more than happy to assist. All vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of issue.
