Update - 23rd April 2020 
Under COVID-19 Alert Levels 3 & 4 we are currently open for essential workers travelling on business purposes. We will require a letter from your company stating that you travelling as an essential worker and we will accept bookings for single occupancy only. If you are have any queries with regards to the above please reach out to our team on 07 578 2668.

Update - 26th March 2020
Hotel on Devonport has been classed as an Essential Service by MBIE and therfore we can accept bookings for essential workers only. Sorry we are not accepting bookings for any other guests, including those who are self isolating, arriving between now and the 24th April 2020. Please feel free to contact one of our team if you need further clarification or are an essential worker wanting to secure a room. 

Update - 20th March 2020
We would like to provide an update on the situation around COVID-19 and our pledge to provide a safe environment for both our guests and staff at Hotel on Devonport. We are closely following the guidance of the New Zealand government and the New Zealand Ministry of Health and are implementing additional protocols so both guests and staff have the confidence that we are doing everything we can to create a safe environment. We take create pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the hotel and have implemented the following changes for the benefits of guests and our staff:

  • On arrival at the hotel all guests will be asked to apply hand sanitiser and will be asked about any international travel over the past 14 days.
  • We have increased the frequency of cleaning our public areas with particular attention to surfaces that are frequently touched (elevators, front desk, door handles, public restrooms etc).
  • All our staff will be frequently washing their hands throughout their shifts.
  • All our housekeeping staff will be wearing masks and gloves to clean guest rooms which will be replaced every time a new room is entered.
  • Our complimentary apple bowl has been temporarily removed.
  • Our high standard of room cleaning will be maintained with all crockery, glassware and cutlery washed in a commercial dishwasher.
  • All rooms will be cleaned with a commercial grade disinfectant and the clothes used will be replaced when entering a new room.
  • Any staff that have travelled internationally within the past 14 days will self-isolate at their home.
  • Any staff that are ill have been advised to stay home and wellness checks will be completed during our shift meetings with staff.
  • We ask any guests that are unwell to contact our front desk team.

Reservation cancellations / postponements

For any cancellations or amendments to your bookings please contact the travel agent, website or person your reservation was made with.
For bookings made on or before the 14th March 2020, through hotelondevonport.net.nz, please see the following changes to the cancellation policy:

Please check the terms and conditions of your booking, most bookings, excluding prepaid reservations, require you to cancel your booking prior to 2pm on the day prior to arrival.

For any reservations on the 14th or 15th March this has been waived and you may cancel the booking on the day of arrival. From 2pm on the 16th March any reservations cancelled after 2pm on the day prior to arrival will be subject to a cancellation charge equal to the full accommodation cost.

For prepaid bookings made through hotelondevonport.net.nz on non refundable rates

For arrivals between the 14th & 30th March 2020 – Any rooms cancelled will be entitled to a full refund providing notice is given at least 48 hours prior to arrival. Within 48 hours of arrival there will be no refund. 

For arrivals after the 1st April 2020 – Any rooms cancelled can hold their prepayment in credit for up to 12 months providing notice is given on or before the 25th March 2020. If notice is given after the 25th March 2020 there will be no refund or credit available.
